Today we start a new Women's Health series called Perimenopause and Ayurveda.
Peri means- around. It is the difficulties around the stoppage of menstruation. Here there is a transition period in the life cycle of women like the Autumn season, a falling but for a new phase of life. Nowadays there are many challenges in the work-life balance of ladies, especially in the age of forties.
According to CIPD 2019, three out of five women are affected negatively by perimenopausal time in their workplace. Actually, the symptoms start in the late thirties and the symptoms are triggered near 43 to 45. The percentage of women, who are at the age of their forties in employment is rising nowadays, this situation increases the need for perimenopausal awareness. It also there ensures gender equality beneficial to the women in this time period also in thrive for organisation, creativity, knowledge and show competence to persist in their field.
So proper education, awareness about this period, and self-care support for those going through this period are essential, particularly during this pandemic. Women in employment are raising nowadays at the age of forties and this becomes the need of perimenopausal awareness.
